Stretches involve a variety of subjects. Monday through Friday, you’ll receive stretches that challenge you to work a simple make-a-difference challenge into your daily routine. On Saturday, stretches expand with the opportunity for you to involve friends and family in a bigger Give. On Sundays, Giver Game sends no stretches because that’s your day to choose how to make-a-difference in your community where you see its needed most. And we hope Blog you about it!

Here are some sample stretches you might receive on any given day.

Personal Responsibility Stretch

Choose a family member you have discord with. Call them and take full responsibility for the breakdown, and then share at least one thing you appreciate about or have learned from them.

In Service & Support Stretch

Stop into a local hospital or retirement home today. Offer to read for 20 minutes to a person who has lost their sight.

Weekend Team Stretch

Take 2 hours and collect as many gently used and new suitcases as you can. When complete, donate them to a local foster care organization to support children in home transition.

Diversity Stretch

Today begins the first day of Chinese New Year. Take 5 minutes to research how to pronounce the Cantonese and Mandarin words for “hello” and “thank you” on the internet, and use them to greet people throughout your day.

Animal Kingdom Stretch

Find an older person walking a dog. Pull over and ask if you can pet the animal, then spend 5 minutes engaging with the owner.

Nature Stretch

Take a gratitude walk. Find 20 minutes to walk in silence through your neighbor or a nature preserve. Put the iPods and cell phones away, and silently speak recognition for all the things you’re grateful for today.

“We must not, in trying to think about how we can

make a big difference, ignore the small daily differences we can make which, over time, add up to big

differences that we often cannot foresee.”
